PCA Program

OSCIL’s Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program provides an alternative for persons with disability who are at risk of nursing home placement and in need of personal care attendant services, but are unable to access the traditional RI Medicaid Assistant Program.

Eligible participants must be unable to acquire these services through other PCA programs and meet this criteria:

​

• they are significantly physically disabled

• assessed as needing services in order to maintain independence

• are capable of managing their attendants

• found to be eligible by all other program guidelines.

​

This program is designed to allow consumers maintain their independence within their home.
