This workshop will provide an overview of the eye, the retina, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) which is the leading cause of blindness in people 55 and older in the US and will also review existing and emerging therapies for AMD.

The presenter is Ben Shaberman, Senior Director, Scientific Outreach & Community Engagement, at the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the world's leading private funding source for retinal degenerative disease research.
