The Challenges of Using Public Transportation

Staff from the Rhode Island Organizing Project (RIOP) will lead a discussion about the challenges of using public transportation. Items for discussion include LogistiCare, the Ride program and the RIPTA No Fare Bus Pass Program. Bring your experiences, ideas, and questions.

 

The Rhode Island Organizing Project (RIOP) has been organizing community residents to improve their communities for over 20 years. RIOP’s current priorities include improving health care and public transportation for seniors and adults with disabilities.

Medication Adherence –The Benefits of Multi-Dose Packaging

A representative from White Cross Pharmacy will discuss medication adherence is defined as taking all of your medications properly, as prescribed by your health care provider, at the right time and on the right day. Learn how multi-dose packaging can keep you living more safely and independently at home, thus decreasing reliance on care givers and YOU out of the hospital!

As part of OSCIL’s mission to provide outreach, education and opportunities for peer support, OSCIL offers these FREE Lunch and Learn workshops highlighting various solutions that can increase access in your home and community.

Seating is Limited. Lunch (pizza) will be served.

A Sign Language Interpreter and CART have been secured for these events.

*United Way's 211 Resource Outreach RV will be at our Warwick location to answer questions about other resources available in Rhode Island
