Lunch and Learn Workshops

OSCIL will be hosting Lunch & Learn Workshops at both OSCIL locations during November.

Amy Romero, Assistant U.S. Attorney, will discuss the Department of Justice’s enforcement of the ADA in Rhode Island. From the consent decree, to removal of architectural barriers, to ensuring effective communication—come learn about ongoing federal enforcement efforts. Ms. Romero also welcomes the opportunity to hear from you as to concerns about ADA violations in the state of Rhode Island.

Dates & Locations

 Wednesday, November 29, 12-2 p.m. at 1944 Warwick Ave, Warwick*

 Thursday, November 30, 12-2 p.m. at 175 Main Street in Pawtucket

*Marie Hennessey, President of the New England Regional Ski for Light, will be at the Warwick Workshop to speak about recreational seasonal activities for the visually impaired.

As part of OSCIL’s outreach and community education initiative, OSCIL offers these FREE “Lunch and Learn” workshops highlighting various solutions that can increase access in your home and community.

Advance registration is required. Please call 738-1013 if you plan to attend either session. Seating is Limited. Lunch (pizza) will be served.

A Sign Language Interpreter and CART have been secured for these events.

*The United Way 211 Resource RV will be onsite at our Warwick location on November 29th.
