LUNCH AND LEARN WORKSHOPS

OSCIL will be hosting a FREE Lunch & Learn Workshop from 12-2 pm entitled “Westbay Community Action: Everything You Need to Know” at OSCIL’s location at 1944 Warwick Avenue in Warwick.

Westbay Community Action's mission is to empower and mobilize people through their programs, partnerships and advocacy to gain greater self-sufficiency.

Westbay remains committed to this pledge by connecting clients with programs and services at the Human Services Mall on Buttonwoods Avenue in Warwick, and elsewhere in the community. Westbay provides essential assistance to address critical needs and administers over 40 social service programs designed to meet the needs of low and moderate-income Kent County residents.

Paul Salera, President/CEO of Westbay will give a presentation on their available programs and services and will also any questions you may have.

As part of OSCIL’s mission to provide outreach, education and opportunities for peer support, OSCIL offers these FREE Lunch and Learn workshops highlighting various solutions that can increase access in your home and community.

Lunch (pizza) will be served. A Sign Language Interpreter and CART have been secured.

OSCIL will be hosting a FREE Lunch & Learn Workshop from 12-2 pm at OSCIL’s Pawtucket location at 175 Main Street on Thursday, January 31, 2019

This workshop will cover aspects of Medicaid in Rhode Island including:

·         How can Medicaid benefit you and other Rhode Island residents?

·         How can we organize to keep the Medicaid program strong?

·         Your questions and concerns about Medicaid

Guest speakers are Linda Katz, of the Economic Progress Institute and Ray Gagne and Marjorie Waters of the Rhode Island Organizing Project (RIOP).
